Can an Irish passport holder apply for China visa at Chinese Embassy in Bangkok?

Hi- I am an Irish passport holder currently in Australia. I am travelling to Asia in February. I waswondering can I apply for a Chinese tourist Visa at Chinese Embassy in Bangkok if I only have a holiday visa for Thailand? The Chinese Embassy in Dublin didn't want to know when i emailed them! How long does it take if possible? Thank You

It is possible for you to get a single-entry China tourist visa from China embassy in Bangkok with the Thailand holiday visa. But I cannot guarantee you'll definitely obtain one. You can also try to apply for one in Australia. It usually takes 4 working days to process a China visa.
