Shanxi - datong hiking tour questions

Hi,

I wish to follow the itinerary above (Shanxi-Datong hiking tour). Would appreciate if you can help me out on the following questions:

1) The coach that leaves datong to hunyuan (8:00 am - 18:00 pm), what is the interval time between each bus ? i.e. 8:00 am followed by 8:30 am etc

2) What is the time table for the coaches leaving hunyuan coach station to mt. wutai ?, i.e. (8:00 am - 18:00 pm ??) and interval between each coach ?

3) What is the coach fare for question 2 above ?

4) I want to climb east peak (Wanghai Peak) and also South Peak (Jingxiu Peak), what time should I start my journey ? and where can I get (rent) the van mentioned in 2nd last paragraph above ?. What is the fee for renting the van ?.

5) After mt. wutai, I want to go to taiyuan. What is the mode of transport to taiyuan ?. Do I need to get back to Datong to catch a train to taiyuan or can I go straight from Taihuai town to Taiyuan ?. What is the fee ?

Thank you for your kind reply.

Hi, hereunder is the answers for your questions. Hope it is helpful.
1. The interval time between each bus is about 10 minutes and no more than half an hour. The coach fare is around CNY20.00.
2. As far as I know, there are only two coaches available from Datong to Mt. Wutai, which depart at 07:30 and 09:30 in the morning from Datong.
3. If you want to climb both east peak and south peak within one day, you can start your journey at around 7:30 in the morning. For the van, you may ask the hotel you staying whether they offer such rent service or not and let them help you.
4. From Mt. Wutai to Taiyuan, you may choose to take a train directly and the ticket fare is about CNY60.00 per person. The train journey will last about 4 hours.
