I have 24 hours break before my onward journey to Delhi, do I need a visa?

I have 24 hours break before my onward journey to Delhi, I am travelling from SFO.Can I get Visa, this is because of change in schedule by Air China.

Yes, you need to apply for a China visa if the stopover in China is more than 24 hours.
