About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

From residence permit to tourist visa, is that ok?

Hi, i am planning to go back in china with a tourist visa. My husband who is working there will send me an invitation letter, the thing is, I used to have temporary residence permit which was expired last June. I got that visa in P.S.B Shenzhen, my husband applied for it. I have no plans of staying there for more than 3 months, so I will just apply for tourist visa. Do you think they will grant me tourist visa or they would ask me to apply for temporary residence permit? By the way, I will apply my visa here in Manila.

They will grant you a tourist visa if you won't stay in China for more than 3 months. Please don't worry.
In fact, it is hard to get a dependent visa (Z visa). It is easy to get a tourist visa for family visit.
