Ambitious Day Visit for longmen grottoes and shaolin temple?

Hi, I was wondering whether we can do a day visit for longmen grottoes and shaolin temple? i will be arriving from xian at 10am. If i could not, which one is more worthwhile to visit if i only have time for one? Thanks in advance.

It is IK for you to visit the two places in one day but may be a little hurry for you since you will arrive there ay 10am. I think Longmen geottoes is more worthwhile for you to have a visit.
