You need use Pakistan passport to apply China visa from Islamabad. However, for tourism, Pakistani are not allowed to apply for individual tourist visa. It is not a good idea to get China visa in Pakistan.

When you go to the China embassy, you can first show your Pakistan passport, if the visa officer tells you that you can't apply for individul tourist visa into China, you can show your UK passport to have a try.

If you really can't get a China visa in Pakistan, you can go to HongKong to use your UK passport to get a tourist visa to China.
