For visa requirement, can I buy Manila-HOngkong & Guangzhou-Manila tickets?

I want to go to Guangzhou via Hongkong (train) from Manila and come back straight from Guangzhou to Manila. Will this be allowed as the round-trip ticket required in the visa application? I have been travelling to Guangzhou regularly for medical treatment and this will be the second 6-months multiple-entry visa that I will be applying for. Thanks
