About:Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

hello! im going to chengdu in december and id like to know what i have to do to holding a panda

do i need a reserve or something? what time is the best?

You can ask if there is possibility that day to hold a panda that day when you get to the entrance and buy ticket. There is the service center there. Generally, you need to donate 1000RMB to hold a panda and take photos with pandas. Sometimes panda are not available that day. I heard that some visitor gave the money but didn't hold the panda. So, you may confirm this when you get there. Usually Panda is active in 9am and after breakfast, they may fall asleep.

Hi,
I often go to Chengdu Panda Base. Usually the tourists will be allowed to have pictures with panda at 9:40am. You need to pay CNY1,000 per person to do it. You can not hold the panda now because the pandas weight about 35kg. You only can sit down next to him and ask the worker there to take pictures for you.
And if you really want to do it, I hope I can do some help. Maybe I could make a reservation for you first to make sure you can have pictures with pandas when you arrive.
