About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Can the original China visa be used if an extension was applied?

I have this visa:

F type, Multiple entries, each entry 30 days, issued on 2011/05/31 and valid until 2011/11/30

I entered on 2011/06/26. Since I had to stay 4 months, I applied for an extension:

F type, 0 entries, issued on 2011/07/12, valid until 2011/10/15

I still need to stay 2 more months. Can I go out and then come back using my original visa?

You can't use the original multiple entry F visa. Once you get the new F visa with 0 entries, your previous multiple entry F visa expires.

Thanks for the reply! I just comment that I was able to go and return with the original visa. I asked and it is like this: if when you apply for an extension they don't use the "Cancelled" stamp on the previous visa you can still use it

Hi Juan, where did you get this info? I'm really skeptical of it. People cannot hold two visas at the same time, so I think once you get the new 0 entry visa, your original visa will be invalid. How could it automatically turn valid afterwards?

Hi,
Since it was my last day authorized by my visa extension I bet everything and I went to Hong Kong. I could go out and come back next day without any problem. Now I have 30 new days to stay in China
