If you have invitation letter from the legally registered company in China (Chinese counterpart), the comfirmation letter of invitation issued by a Chinese government office, such as Foreign Affairs Office or Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, is still required.

The Chinese counterpart has to go to the government office to get comfirmation letter of invitation for you even though you have hotel confirmation and return air tickets.
