It is a little hard for you and your baby to get a 1 year visa because you are not married. You can try to provide the following documents to apply for a 1 year L visa for family visit.
1. your passport and your baby's passport
2. the filled visa application forms V.2011A, you can fill the form for your baby
3. your passport photo and your baby's passport photo
4. the invitation letter from the baby's father, the copy of his passport or ID card, his bank statement.
5. the relationship certificate between the baby and his father, such as birth certificate or the parenthood checkup
6. if it is the first time for you to go to China, the NBI clearance is also required.
