I feel the required document of Visa Notification for dependent visa application is not reasonable. the marriage license can prove the relationship between the applicant and the one who work in China. Why do the visa notification is still required for dependent visa application? It just make many Filipinos can't go to China to reunit with their spouse or parents.

In fact, I think the marriage license, the inviter's (spouse or parent or child) valid residence visa, working visa, working card and passport information page are sufficient for the dependent visa application.

I agree with you however it is clearly show from the dependent (Z) visa requirement that visa notification is required. I wish to know if what are the requirements needed from the visa notification office in China

I am getting frustrated in getting the visa. my husband is working in China, we wish to apply for dependent visa however we are getting nowhere. His company whom he worked with had coordinated on this matter getting visa notification yet the local foreign affairs in China advised that they can't give me my request instead suggested me to apply tourist visa which am afraid a big risk of denial. wish anyone can give me an idea. thanks

if the company of your husband can't obtain the visa notification form for you (now called Invitation Letter of A Duly Authorized Unit or Confirmation of Invitation Letter), you can't apply for dependent visa. You can try to obtain a tourist visa to go to China, they try to apply for visa extension when the stay duration of your visa will be used out. The tourist visa can be extended twice.

When you apply for a tourist visa in the philippines, you can ask for 180 days stay duration per entry on the visa application form. the final decision is up to visa officer. Maybe you get a single entry visa with 30 days, 60 days or 90 days stay duration.

Thanks for the great idea. I got no choice but to apply for the tourist visa. I just can't understand why they require visa notice yet the local foreign affairs could not issue it for dependent purpose only for business visa and also it is to complicated to get it even people in China i guess are not so aware of it.
