If the transit time is more than 24 hours, a transit visa is required.
If the transit time is less than 24 hours, but you will leave the airport, a transit visa is also required.

A visa is not required if the transit time is less than 24 hours and you won't leave the airport.

You can try to get a 24 hours stay permit (works as a transit visa) in the airport by showing the connecting flight tickets.
