About:Chinese Consulate in Calgary

Renew my 3 star Hong Kong Identity card for a new smart ID card at China embassy Calgary office

I wish to renew my 3 star Hong Kong Identity card for a new smart Identity card at Chinese embassy Calgary office. I saw a note posting at one of Calgary's shopping malls saying it is possible now. Could you please advise the details of procedures and requirements? Thanks.

You can't renew your 3 star Hong Kong Identity card for a new smart Identity card at Chinese embassy Calgary office, you have to return to Hong Kong to get it from Immigration Department.
