I am malaysian citizen, am i need to apply visa for travel to China?

Currently, i m leaving in Brisbane, Australia. Plan to travel to China on 2/10/2011. I m take the flight from Kuala Lumpur on 2/10/2011. Can I apply visa in Australia or Malaysia.

You can apply in both Australia and Malaysia. But if you are going to apply in Australia, you need to submit more requirements like visa application form Form V2011B and Australia Resident Permit.
