About:Chinese Currency & Money Exchange

Can use a pre-loaded travel money card?(Master Card) if so, is USdollars or sterling best

Debit cards or credit cards for cash are not suppose to be accepted at the hotels however some of them do it as a service but charge you a high fee too. Best in China are traveler's checks.
American Express is widely accepted but not in the countryside. Take enough cash to the countryside.
