how long it usually takes from the employer to get z visa from from chinese foreign expert bureau?

I have recently been offered a job in teaching in china. they asked for all my credentials (degrees + certificates + experiences and reference letter). leter on they asked me to do a medical check from the local approved hosiptal which I did and send to them.

since my employer have applied and its been more than 2 weeks they haven't received A Work Permit for Aliens issued by the Chinese Labor Ministry/ Foreign Expert's License issued by the Chinese Foreign Expert Bureau. when i called them after 10 days regarding the status update they told me that they have applied and they are still waiting reply from chinese bareau.

on the other hand, I have read on web that I usually takes 4-5 working days to get Work Permit for Aliens issued by the Chinese Labor Ministry/ Foreign Expert's License issued by the Chinese Foreign Expert Bureau.

hence my question is that how long it usually takes from the employer to get z visa from from chinese foreign expert bureau ?
also what are the odds of not getting it ?

any one who can help me on this ... plz plz

It's stipulated that it takes 1-2 weeks to apply for a work permit by Ministry of Labor and Social Security. However, it all depends on the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and it's hard to say how long your employer in China will get it for you. To apply for the work permit for you, your Chinese employer must be qualified and provide neccesary documents, or they may not get it for you.

well actually its a british accrediated college in dalian, china and I have been appointed as maths teacher for A-levels. they are in the process of hiring around 8-10 teacher from different subject areas. hence I believe they are in the position to get work permit issues for me

but since they have applied its been more than 2 weeks now and haven't heard from my employer any news. also, recently from another post they told me that it takes usually around 2-4 weeks to get work permit issued.

whereas, on the website that I visited it says that usually it takes 4-5 working days to issue work permit. that was the contradiction that I wanted to clear.

so it means it does take usually around 3-4 weeks to get the work permit ?

and what are the chances of getting for people like me who lives in pakistan ? is difficult or easy ?

khalid butt, there is no other option, you have to wait for your employer, once the college get the Foreign Expert's License and "Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit" or "Confirmation Letter of Invitation", it will send them to you.
