About:Visa Policy of China

What does the 'invitation' from my Chinese friend consist of?

When I submit my visa application, what is the 'invitation' portion amount to? Do I need to include a document that i've been invited to China?

if you are U.S. citizen and apply for a tourist visa to China, an invitation letter from China is not required. It is easy for U.S. citizen to get a tourist visa to China, you just need to provide your passport, filled Application form, one passport photo.
