transport for the journey from datong to pingyao

Hello, Could you advise if we have to change trains or use alternative transport for the journey from Datong to Pingyao? Do we stay on the one train all the way from Datong to Pingyao? Thank you.

About five trains are operating from Datong to Pingyao. And you could take one train directly to Pingyao with around 7hrs. By bus, you need to reach Taiyuan first and then to Pingyao by another bus. Thus, it is better for you to take a train to Pingyao.
