I am canadian, do I need a Visa from China in order to be able to change flight in Taiwan?

I will be traveling to Tailand via Taipei (Taiwan), there is a flight change. Do I need a Visa from China in order to be able to change flight in Taiwan? I am canadian,

Taiwan has its own exit & enter controls, a Taiwan transit visa is not required if you won't leave the Taibei Taoyuan Airport during the transit period.
