About:China Visa on Arrival

Is On Arrival Visa available for Ex-Students to take Certificates ?

Few of my friends from India who were ex-students of Xiamen University want to come back to Xiamen for taking their Graduation certificates. So is it possible for them to take on arrival visa or do they need to apply at the embassy in India ?

With a previously used China visa but no cancelled china visas record; a confirmed return ticket or a ticket showing exit from China and a confirmed hotel booking voucher, they may get greater chance to get a Xiamen visa on arrival. But I'm not sure. It depends on the visa officer. I recommend they get the visa in advance to enter China, just in case of being refused at the port.

Phani, Xiamen can only issue 3 days visa on arrival to aliens, if you only stay in Xiamen for 3 days at most, you can try to get it.

As Jim replied, nobody can sure a person can get a visa on arrival. The previous China visa on their passports and the letter from Xiamen university can increased the chances of success.
