I will teach in China for 5 months, do I need medical certificate for visa? do I need medical cert. in China?

Employer in China asking for medical certificate but see that new rules say for employment under 6 months not necessary for my visa application here.Would that be same rule for work visa request in China that they do?

No, you don't need to apply for the medical certificate when applying for a China visa.
If your employer ask for one, you can do it upon arriving.
