About:Xitang Water Town

Xitang one day visit

I am confused about transportation to Xitang from Shanghai. Is there a tour bus running daily with a guide that goes there from Shanghai stadium . I read somewhere that it only operates on the weekend. I would also like to know if the bus takes you directly to the water town. I also read somewhere that you have to walk for about 20 minutes after getting off the bus. Is this true? One final question, which is easier for a non Chinese speaker, to take the train or bus to this water town? Thank you so much for your help.

It seems the buses running to Xitang from the stadium only operate on weekend.
As a non Chinese speaker, I recommend you go there directly by bus. But this way: go to Shanghai south long-distance bus station (close to Shanghai South Railway Station) to take a bus to the town directly; if the bus tickets are sold out,go to Jiashan by bus first, and then take a bus or taxi(about rmb30) there.
