best month to visit xinjiang & chengdu

Question

Hi, May I know which month is autumn seasons in Xinjiang? What's the nearest airport?How far Xinjiang from Shicuan, Chengdu & is it advisable to go to both Xinjiang & Chengdu at the same 1week trip? I also saw a picture shows mountains in winter season at one side of Xinjiang & at lake side,it's spring/summer.May I know which month it happens? Regards-liyana

Xinjiang is a large region where the weather varies greatly in different area. Generally, from the mid of Sep, it will be autumn season, although some places are still hot at daytime. Usually, travelers should fly to Urumqi and then start the tour. The distance between Chengdu and Urumqi by air is about 2258km. One week is just enough for you to have a brief view on Xinjiang and Chengdu. The mountain you mentioned should be the Tianshan Moutain, which divides Xinjiang into two region with differet weather and scenery.
