how to get to the bird's nest from beijing north railway station?

After touring the Great Wall, we plan to have a brief visit to the Bird's Nest and Water cube too in the same day. So after coming back from Badaling by train, how to reach there? I guess we'll arrive at the north railway station too?

Yes, you'll arrive at Beijing North Railway station as well. From there, you can walk to the Xizhimen subway station to take the subway to Olympic Sports Center, then walk to the sites.
