Hi, I lived in the United States but my nationality is Mexican, what type of visa do I need in order to go to China with my husband?

You can apply for a L visa to enter China first. If you want to stay in China for longer time, you can change the L visa into a longer-term family visit visa or a residence permit at your husband's local PSB. You are allowed to live in China for one year and the visa or residence permit can be extended at said office in China.
