About:Visa Policy of China

Am asking about single certificate.

Had forgotten to put my nationality in my first question. My second question was sent back to me. I am an American going to China second week of December. Would like to ask her to marry me.Thru our many discussions with each other,I will need a single certificate if I want to marry her there. What is this form, what do I need to fill one out,and by when does it need to be filled out?? Thank you for an answer.

To get marriage registered in China, you need to get a single status certificate (also called Single Status Affidavit Authentication) in advance before leaving for China. Local marriage offices in China may have special preferences in the way you fill out your affidavit. So, you can ask your girlfriend to check with the respective marriage office in China first.

The final single status certificate is valid for 6 months after issuance.
