Can I get Chinese Visa in Hongkong but will depart in Philippines?

Hi, I am a Philippine national but plans to go to China for a tour. I am working in Taiwan right now and as I searched from this site, I can apply for a china tourist visa in hongkong. If i depart from Manila, Philippines and get the L visa from hongkong, is that okay? Will i be able to enter China without any problems? Thank you.

It is okay for you to get L visa from Hong Kong and depart from Manila, Philippines. However, I'm puzzled by your travel itineray, if you get a L visa from Hong Kong, why don't you enter Mainland China directly from Hong Kong? Why do you go to Manila and go to Mainland China from Manila?

Hi Bob,
Thank you for your reply. Appreciate it a lot. To answer your question, I will have a vacation to Philippines first before i'll go to China for a tour which is why I will depart from Manila and not from Hongkong. Besides, i might just hire a travel agent to apply the L visa to me in Hongkong since I might not have the time to take a time off from work to process the visa by myself. Thanks again for your reply.
