Bus from Pingyao to Taiyuan

If travelling in August, is it necessary to make a reservation when taking a bus from Pingyao to Taiyuan? Or, will I easily be able to catch the next bus if I just show up at the bus station?

There are frequent coaches departing from Pingyao to Taiyuan, so you don't have to make reservation.
