Does people in Hengyang city know english? Will I be able to communicate with them?

Most local people can not. They speak their own dialect. Some of them may know English, especially the white-collar or students.0

I was in that city for 10 days and didn't meet anyone who speaks English. Even in the hotel, it's a nightmare if you have any problem with your room. Find a very good translator app for your smartphone. I got by with my app.0
