About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

I hold a Canadian Passport, HK ID Card, and Home Return Permit. Do I need a single-entry China visa for my 54-hour stay in Shanghai?

Hi,

I'm flying from Toronto to Shanghai (54 hours stay), then to Singapore, then returning back to Toronto. I hold a Canadian Passport, HK ID Card, and Home Return Permit. Do I need a single-entry China visa for my 54-hour stay in Shanghai? Can I use my Home Return Permit to enter Shanghai? Should I apply HKSAR passport to get access to China without applying for the China visa?

Thanks for your help in advance.

You can use your Home Return Permit to enter Shanghai if it is valid.
