Best way to take money out of China for travelling?

I am a UK citizen who has lived and worked in China for 18 months. I have bank accounts in both countries, but will not return to the UK for some time. I now plan to travel in Thailand & Indonesia, funded from my Chinese bank account. Can you advise what is the best way to carry money? Can I buy traveller's cheques in China, and in what currencies? Can I get a prepaid debit card?

It is convenient to use Chinese bank credit card or chinese yuan in Thailand and Indonesia. Not necessary to buy traveler's cheques. Have some Chinese currency in your wallet, they would have Chinese yuan as tipping.
