About:How to Buy Tickets

Am I able to purchase train tickets online for China Train Travel.

I heard there was a new rule recently introduced, meaning that I would need to go to the train station myself to get tickets, with ID. Is this true? Does this mean I can't get tickets online?

To purchase the tickets on D trains and G trains, ID card or passport copy is required at present. However, you can book the tickets online. And when issuing tickets, you could send your passport copy to them by mail or fax. I booked the tickets from Shanghai to Beijing one week before on the web, and lastly I got the tickets smoothly.
