About:Chinese Embassy in Pakistan

I will participate in a conference in Beijing in August, do I need to appear in person in Chinese embassy in Islamabad?

I am the Director of English Language Centre at the Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. I plan to participate in a conference in Beijing in August.. It would be my first visit to China. Am I required to appear in person in the Chinese embassy in Islamabad to get my visa or is there any other option available? Please advise. Also please list the documents that I have to send/bring with my passport.

Thank you

Generally applicants should appear in person with required documents, and may answer questions from the visa officer, you go to China for the first time, so you have to come to Chinese embassy in Islamabad in person.

You need to bring the below documents:
1. Original invitation or confirmation letter (used to be called Visa Notice) from an authorized government organization like the local foreign affairs office or etc. in China;

2. Invitation letter from your inviting Chinese organization;

3. A supporting letter from your Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan

5. Your tax certificate (photocopy);

6. Your bank statement

7. completed visa application form affixed with one passport photo
