Are jeans appropriate for touring in China, such as Shanghai? what other wardrobe tips for travel in November?

It is the Autumn time in Shanghai in November. The weather is cool and pleasant with an average temperature of about 9~17C. Jeans are appropriate and Long-sleeved T-shorts with a jacket are also nice.
