French/American dual citizen to travel to China from Thailand, can I use my French pasport to apply China visa?

Hello,
I am currently working in Thailand and am a dual French/American citizen. I will be spending a weekend in Beijing in a few weeks. Can I use my french passport to apply for a VISA to China eventhough my Thai non-b VISA is on my American passport?
Thank you for your help.

You can't use your French passport to apply China visa in Thailand, you have to use your American passport to apply China visa because Thai non-b visa is on it.
