About:Visa Policy of China

Do I need a sponsor to invite me for an L Visa even if I have a confirmed plane ticket and hotel?

No, sir. If you can provide round-trip ticket and hotel bookings in China, the invitation letter from China is not required. But if you travel China with a travel agency, invitation letter from them is helpful.
