How long is the process to apply for a home return permit in HK via the CTS

It depends, Linda, the process takes time as they need to prove your naturilisation and prove your link to a Chinese family. This process can take a long time, some will get it within few days but some may need 5 more months. Made an appointment via the internet at CTS and had your photo taken with completely filled application forms, it will be quick. Anyway, it's all up to the officers.
