About:Chinese Consulates in Thailand

What kind of visa should I apply for if I want to travel to Beijing

Hello I am a dual French/American citizen working in Thailand as a teacher and would like to travel to Beijing for a weekend. What kind of visa should I apply for and do I need a re-entry into Thailand if I have a non-B visa?

You can apply for a single entry China tourist visa from Chinese embassy/consulate in Thailand. For question about re-entry permit to Thailand, you'd better contact Thai Immigration first if your non-B visa is ok for entry.
