About:Packing Tips for Traveling China

dog question

us passport holder wants to bring his 2 small dogs into china--he will stay a year.he will be teaching in xian.do the dogs have to be quarantined on arrival if arriving in GUANGZHOU?

His dog should get the Vaccinations & Immunity Certificates, its health certificate and permit for the dog to leave in US and yes, he should declare and the dog have to be quarantined on arrival, for 30 days as I know. The duration can be shortern to be one week or just the next day if he bring the dog in via an import and export company. One passport for one pet. I saw some information that the quarantine can be exempted in Guangzhou, but not in Beijing and Shanghai. So, perhaps he can confirm this.
