I am looking to travel down from Hangzhou to Guilin on sat and wanted to check that trains run everyday? This isn't clear on the web.

Almost all the trains in China are in operation every day except for some trains to Lhasa and Hong Kong. There are 4 trains available daily from Hangzhou to Guilin. And for exact train timetables, you could search on the website.
