we(a family of 3)are going to china in August/2011 for a month, how much can we bring CNY to China ?

We had exchanged for a total of CNY 13,000 and plan to take this money and some canadian currency with us for this trip. How much money are we allow to bring into China ?

5,000 US dollars (or equivalent in any foreign currency) or 20,000 CNY is permitted. If you have more than this amount, related documents will be needed and you need to declare to the customs.

Yes,that's ture!
5,000 US dollars (or equivalent in any foreign currency) or 20,000 CNY is permitted.
But you could carry a Credit card,most place in Beijing you could pay by Swipe credit cards.
