Is it difficult to buy a train ticket to Suzhou-Beijing? (for the next day). Maybe it's better to go back to Shanghai and buy tickets for the Shanghai-Beijing?

It is not so difficult to buy the bullet train ticket from Suzhou to Beijing. Anyway, you'd better buy it in advance.  It is also OK for you back to Shanghai and then take train from Shanghai to Beijing.
