About:Dual Nationality

Stepdaughter has taken UK citizenship. Can she revert to Chinese at a later date? Now 14 yrs old.

She was born in Nanning & moved to UK when she was 9 with her mother whom I married at that time. I am a UK citizen. Her natural father is Chinese and still lives in Nanning. She and her mother have taken UK citizenship as it makes things more simple here. When she is 18, can she revert to Chinese citizenship if she wishes?

Yes, she can. By now, China does not allow dual nationalities. That is to say she will lost British citizenship. She revert to Chinese citizenship needs the help of her relatives and natural parents living in China.
