Dragon-Back Terraced Fields from Guilin

How long does it take to see the terraced fields and ride there from Guilin? I will be in Guilin in August, arriving around 1:30 and would like to start sightseeing right away. Will I be able to find a local guide or driver that can take me sightseeing (nearby) right away? What time does it get dark in Guilin in August?

It may takes about 3.5-4 hours from Guilin to the Dragon-Back Terraced Field. You'd better book a local tour which may arrange this trip for you and provide guide and driver for you. It usually gets dark from 20:00 in Guilin in Aug.

it may takes 3.5-4 hours from guilin to there.cause there has no direct bus ,so you`d better find a local travel agency ,and they have one day tour from Guilin to Dragon-Back Terraced Fields,you can join them.
