can i apply f visa after my work visa ( z ) expires?

I have a work visa ( Z ) But I did not take up employment due to personal reasons. My work visa expires on 30th June this year. Can I apply for a business visa after that date? Please reply. ThanksHow can I get an appointment with the Consulate regarding my visa?

But you need to leave China before your Z visa expires. To apply for a business visa is ok if you want to visit China again, and no appointment is required if you are not going through CVASC for visa application.
