weather/clothing for shanghai middle september?

Hi we are going to be ending our china tour in shanghai?(middle september) please could any one advise us on the weather in shanghai/ what clothes to be worn ( shorts & t shirts for day & eve)

Sep is still hot in Shanghai that you may find many locals are still in summer shorts. However, the temperature difference is also great between day and night, so you'd better prepare a polo shirt and jeans.
