transportation between the Dongcheng district and the spots

I'm planning to go to Beijing on Dec. 2011 i need bus/mtr transfer information from dongcheng district to tourist spots Forbidden City/Tianamen Square/Great Wall and Water Cube..many thanks

From DongCheng district, you may take tram 101 to Forbbiden city (about 30 min) and after getting out from the Forbbiden city, you can walk to the Tiananmen Square. Take the bus 82 to the Beichen west bridge north station (about 1 hour), then walk to the water cube.
The Great Wall is in the suburban area, and you may rent a taxi and spend a whole morning or afternoon in the next day. You can browse the following web for your reference:
