Mr. Johnash, so US is ok, how about for Australians?

I note it asks if you are not applying from your home country (I'll be applying from France) "For applicants who are not the French Citizens, a copy of valid French Visa or French Residence Permit is also required" I obviously don't have this so just checking if actually required for an Australian traveller.
