About:Ancient Chinese Marriage Custom

If one of the spouse past away after the traditional chinese marriage and their customary Chinese

Marriage Certificate has not been registered with the Bureau of Civil Affairs, is that Marriage Certificate still vailid as proof for the surviving spouse ?

If they have marriage certificate, their marriage will be still valid even if one of them past away in China. However, not know the policy in other countries.
